Well hello there friends! My goodness it's been a while. It is the beginning of 2020; new year and a new decade. I am finally in Bloomington for good, settling in after my final move in December and two weeks of revelry. Getting new systems and routines in place has been my main focus. Every day, I just have to take a deep breath and know that it will all fall into place eventually. I look forward with anticipation, but also glance over my shoulder at the past decade. I cannot believe all that I and we have been through, been to, accomplished and experienced. Phew! I've lived a lot of lives in this lifetime. And while there are many exciting things to come and soon, we hope to be settled in this town and in this house for a very long time.
As for this blog? Well I'm also trying to find my footing here too. It seems without the farm inspiration, that I'm not sure what to blog about or take pictures of anymore, especially since we are in the middle of winter, in a new home and area. Honestly, I haven't been sure where to start. I know where I want this blog to go eventually. I want to inspire others with my home and garden. I want to showcase the local farms, boutiques and interesting people and places in the area. I want to share the joy of family, friends and wholesome fun. I want to turn you on to compelling books, music, podcasts and products. That seems easy enough... now where to begin...
I have recently been encouraging my step-daughter to stay motivated with her new blog. She's a wonderful mother, and writer. I love seeing her discover that she can balance both. You can find her blog at Nook & Nursery. In her most recent post, she is encouraging her readers to read 20 or more books in 2020. I can do this! I really need to do this, as I find myself gorging on the junk food of social media more than nourishing myself with a good old fashioned book on a regular basis. I accept your challenge Mrs. Miller!
Mrs. Nook & Nursery has also been encouraging me to keep writing, and so here I am, pushing forward, trying to figure out how to start all over... again. How about my own challenge?... I am competitive, especially when it is against myself.
I challenge myself to write 120 or more blog posts in 2020. 😮
Guess I'll be seeing you soon! ❤️
