The practice of yoga has played an important part in my life for the past ten years, and I am happy now to share my love of asana with Southern Illinois. Practicing yoga's movement, breath, meditation and mindfulness will help your inner light will shine. Namaste. ♥

~ A FEW THINGS TO NOTE ~
Please arrive early to get centered for class & sign in each time.
Please bring your own mat and water bottle. Blocks, straps and blankets are optional. Please remove your shoes before class begins. Bare feet are recommended for asanas. Please mute phones before practice begins.
New students should arrive at least 20 minutes prior to the beginning of class to fill out paperwork or request an email. Anyone with serious medical conditions or injuries should consult a doctor prior to participating in any physical activity or other fitness class.
All students should arrive early to tell Lenora about any health conditions or injuries that might affect your practice. If you are tired or injured, forego poses you can't do or shouldn't do or consider a modified version. Yoga is challenging, but should never be a cause of pain or worsen any prior injuries. By sharing your information with Lenora, an asana can be fitted to meet your needs.
We are currently not in a position to accept pregnant students. Our classes are designed for at least 16 years of age to participate. Any student under 18 years of age must have a parent/guardian’s signature on the waiver.
DO NOT PUSH IT. Yoga is about finding your ease. You will get farther quicker, by knowing your limits and respecting them. Students are encouraged to work at their own pace, without competition or pressure.
CREATE AN INTENTION FOR CLASS This can be dedicated to anything, your health, becoming more mindful, compassionate, patient, skillful, creative or stronger. Find your focus and let the peace find you.
After class drink lots of water and rest.
Lateness can be disruptive to others. If you are late, please quietly prepare yourself at the door {remove shoes and mute phone} and have your mat ready to unroll.
Wild Poppy Yoga will not be responsible for lost or stolen items under any circumstances. We please ask you to refrain from bringing valuables into the studio.
Thank you for honoring these guidelines. We are happy to have you as part of our yoga family.
